Creating a wedding registry is one of many fun things you get to look forward to doing once you get engaged. However, if you don't think through the items that you are requesting, you may end up with a lot of "junk" you don't need!
When I created my wedding registry with my fiance, he let me be in charge.
It is easy to get carried away when they give you the "scanner gun". I found myself scanning items that I did not even need!
I found some towels and thought to myself, "Yes! We will need towels!" But now I have more towels than I know what to do with! I also scanned a lot of random things. Once I received the items I had asked for, there was no color scheme or balance in my home. I didn't really think of the style I wanted my house to have.
Here are a few tips that you may find useful when deciding what you want or need in your home, so that you don't make the same mistakes I made!
Think about the style you want your home to have.
