What does every bride want? Glowing, radiant skin on her wedding day! Is this attainable? Coming from a skin perspective it can be!
Every bride wants that perfect look on her wedding day. In order to have that, you need to start planning 6-8 months prior to your big day; starting with a consultation with an Esthetician or Dermatologist. The consultation is the most important part of the process. By communicating your medical history, skin type, and areas of concern with your skin professional, your Esthetician will tailor a skin care plan just for you and your wedding day!
Hydradermabrasion balances the water and oil in your skin. It exfoliates, extracts debris, and encourages your skin to normalize and become healthy, refreshed, & radiant! The series of treatments can be performed once every 2-3 weeks and even up to the day before your wedding. Hydradermabrasion treatments need minimal recovery time. Your face maybe be pink for up to two hours after a session, and when the color subsides your skin will look and feel like a movie star!
Facials & Chemical Peels
Facials and chemical peels are also very beneficial prior to your wedding. Chemical peels are a great way to shed that outer layer of skin to expose the brand new skin underneath. Peels, depending on the strength, will require down time of up to two weeks and treatments should be stopped one month before the wedding date to prevent potential breakouts. This should be done 2-3 months prior to your wedding as you may experience redness and flaking as the skin repairs and rejuvenates.
Daily Skin Care at Home
Begin using professional level skin care products 6-8 months before your wedding day. Do not incorporate new products, other than those recommended to you by your skin care provider, as you may run the risk of breaking out. Do the simple things, wash your face every morning and every evening, and exfoliate 2-3 times per week with a gentle exfoliate. However, be sure you do not over exfoliate your skin as this could cause irritation.
Sun spots, Freckles, Spider Veins, Acne, Rosacea, & Skin Tightening
There are several amazing laser treatments that can cover all of these areas of concern! The LightPod Neo is single most versatile aesthetic and dermatology laser. The LightPod Neo at Simply Smooth Laser Hair Removal and Medical Spa is safer and more comfortable than traditional laser and intense pulsed light (IPL) treatments. It can take care of the most stubborn of skin conditions and make any bride feel great in her skin!
Botox & Fillers
Start at least 6-8 months ahead of time to test wrinkle correction and filler products out to ensure you get the most natural look possible. Botox usually lasts up to 4-5 months, while dermal fillers can last six months to two years. Do not try either treatment up to two weeks before your wedding as there is a slight chance you could bruise. Test a botox or filler treatment out months prior to your date and if the results are what you were looking for, repeat 1-2 months prior to your big day.
The key to every bride achieving their perfect skin is planning. Start the planning process sooner than later. Make appointments to see specialists, get recommendations on products and treatments, and start planning now. Plan today for the skin you want to have for the future; and your wedding day!
