5 Times You Should Not Wear Your Ring
"There are times when I shouldn't wear my ring?" We know, it sounds crazy but trust us. In order to keep the perfection, buy yourself a Secret Keeper Box and tuck that ring away!
1. AT THE BEACH:
Wearing your ring to the beach is just not a good idea. If losing your ring in the water isn't scary enough, tiny grains of sand can get wedged beneath the ring setting. Yikes. Also, applying sunscreen will dull that sparkly diamond!
2. POOL/HOT TUB:
Losing your ring here won't be as big of an issue than if you were to lose it in the ocean...you'll eventually find it after countless dives to the bottom, checking the filters, or potentially having to drain the water. (I don't know about you but that sounds like a headache) The main problem here are the chemicals. After soaking for awhile, they will begin to discolor the stone.
3. WORKING OUT:
We know you want to look amazing in your wedding dress but avoid wearing your ring to the gym. Any heavy pressure applied from weights could bend the band of your ring.
4.TAKING A SHOWER:
Any type of product used in the shower wether it be shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. will create a film over your stone or even worse underneath it. Don't forget to apply your post-shower lotion before putting your ring back on!
Spring cleaning is right around the corner. Remember to take your ring off before cleaning anything and everything. Similar to pool chemicals, these cleaning supplies will eat away at your precious stone and quite possibly discolor the gem.
