Hoppy Wednesday WeddingHoppers!
When Juan and Celene started planning their wedding, they knew they wanted a unique outdoor venue with a view of the mountains to give their out of town guests a glimpse of the beauty of old California. When they saw the mountain scape and lemon trees at Limoneira Ranch, they knew it was the perfect fit for the wedding they had in mind.
Celene tied in lovely personal touches on the big day. She wore her aunt’s veil that she had worn more than 30 years ago at her own wedding. Celene’s grandmother made the veil and she, along with Celene’s mother and aunts, hand beaded the lace. Her grandmother and aunts also sewed all of the table runners and made all of the gorgeous bouquets. The cake was made by the same woman that made Celene’s parent’s wedding cake some thirty years before, and although Juan’s godmother could not make it to the wedding, the couple decided to make her famous Mexican sandwich cookies as one of the favors. Oh, and don’t forget the stunning dancer that did traditional Mexican dances during the reception!

We have an absolutely breathtaking e-sesh for you on this lovely afternoon! The fabulously talented Laura Roesler of Laura Rae Photography shares a few thoughts on today’s post with Anne and Brett!
“For this session I was inspired by anything vintage, sultry lighting and travel. Anne and Brett are having a destination wedding in Vegas in October so we wanted to incorporate travel into the photos. We started out in a whimsical field with an old vintage car, then headed for the road taking shots between traffic, and ended the evening on a train. I had met with Anne before the session but had never before seen Anne and Brett together…and let me tell you…WOW! Do they ever have the cutest kind of love…
Brett made it easy for me by constantly keeping Anne smiling, laughing, and locked in a gaze of love. What wonderful love I was able to capture!”

For 25 years Brian David from Big Day Song has had a passion for songwriting. His first inspiration started back in high school when he received some news that would change his life.
“I wrote my first song called ‘That Day’ about the day my father came back from the doctor’s office to tell me that my mother may not live to see me graduate from High School.”
His love for songwriting came at that moment and it hasn’t stopped since. While the rest of the world slept, Brian would sit on the rooftop of his two-story college house in St. Cloud, Minn. letting all his thoughts and feelings fill the pages of dozens of yellow notebooks.
“I have always strived to put a level of emotion and intensity in every song I write and can’t imagine my life without the gift I have been given.”
And a gift it was because as his passion for songwriting led him to a professional music endeavor in 2002, which also led to the creation of Big Day Song in 2008.

Creating your guest list for your wedding can become quite the task. It takes time to think about all of the people that have been involved in your life. I struggled with this because I have had a lot of people in my life that have come and gone. It is up to you to make the decision regarding how many guests you want to invite to your big day!
Start out by creating a list of people that come to your mind. Once you have thought of everyone you can think of, go through the list again and start to analyze who the important people are that have been in your life that you know for sure need to be invited. This will give you a good idea of how big your wedding will be. If you are being very strict with your budget for your wedding, you will want to be sure to only invite the people that have played an important role in your life. If your list consists of a lot of acquaintances that you have known, then you can start making some cuts if you need to stick to your budget.
Be sure to communicate with your fiance. You want to make sure that you are being fair to who he wants to invite to your wedding as well. Make sure that you are both on the same page when it comes to who gets an invite. Some couples want to invite everyone they can think of! Some couples want a smaller wedding with less guests.
Choosing the right people to be a part of your big day is an important decision that you have to make! So be sure to take your time and really think it through!
