Dreams and inspirations often stem from your roots – family, friends and experiences. Some people find their passion in cooking, others in planning weddings. Alex Masters found her passion in singing and songwriting.
“I’ve been singing since before I could talk.”
She was born in Denver, CO. At age 4, she and her family moved to a quaint hobby farm in Berryville, VA. Writing and singing has always been very natural for her.
“My Parents have home videos of me singing while playing an old four-stringed, out of tune guitar at age 4, making up songs.”
Growing up, she enjoyed the music of Faith Hill, Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks. Nowadays she enjoys artists who are real - songs that have passion behind them.
She knew she wanted to be one of these “real” artists by pursuing music as a career after graduating high school so she moved to Nashville, TN and attended Belmont University. She had the opportunity to study right across from music row in Nashville and interned under Grammy-winning songwriter Brett James at Cornman Music.
“I get my song ideas from my life.”

Supposedly it is good luck if it rains on your wedding day. Many East Coast brides may disagree after Superstorm Sandy crashed the party, halting their walk down the aisle. A reporter for the ABC network shared a story on Good Morning America about couples who managed to save their special day with only a few alterations.
Over 4,000 couples’ with pending nuptials were foiled by the destruction left by Sandy, but one Manhattan bride is determined to exchange vows despite her inability to get in contact with a few of her vendors, their reserved hotel without power, bridal attire and groom’s wedding band stuck at both the alterations and jewelry shops. Luckily, her color was black so she told her bridesmaids just to wear any black dress they owned. This crafty bride also told ABC she would makeshift a wedding band out of tin foil if she had to.
Although she has some quick responses, she and her fiancé are unsure of what is to come of their special day.
A lovely Minnesota couple, Betsy and Dale, shared with us their amazing journey into marriage. They got married at the Van Dusen Mansion featuring some of the most amazing Twin Cities' vendors! Watch their amazing story and become inspired for your upcoming nuptials.

There are a lot of wedding bells chiming this year as A-List Celebrities like Olivia Wilde, Jennifer Aniston and Miley Cyrus are getting engaged! The big question on our minds is...WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO WEAR?!?! There are so many designers, trends and tastes in the 2013 Wedding Fashion season, how are they going to choose?
One big trend right now is French Chic. The Parisian women are known for their "conventional chic" in their day-to-day lives. She tends to highlight the basics, making her daring demure a major asset. One of the most famous designers for Bridal Wear in Europe AND Worldwide, Cymbeline Paris, presents their 2013 collection highlighting the attitude, irreverence and intuition of the every day Parisian woman.
Which one of our A-List celebrities will glide down the aisle in one of these beautiful wedding gowns?
My father sent me an email today that made me tear up. I was away on vacation with my mom and he wrote us this poem while we were away. He said that writing this made him feel better about the recent events in Connecticut.
The Littlest Angels
In a sky filled with stars
Full of sparkle, oh so bright.
There is something quite special
On this cold winter night.
A new constellation appears
so clear to my eye
I am in awe of the sight
But I am not sure I know why.
I stand in the snow
and stare for a while.
As twenty stars form a face
with a huge child smile.
Our new littlest angels
Have found their way
Playing games in the heavens
To let us know it is okay.
Holding hands with each other
Only love, no more fears.
Their six teachers beside them
Smiling brightly, no more tears.
So the next chance you get
Look for the brightest shooting star
You will say to yourself
“littlest angel there you are”.
My father was fortunate enough to see me grow into the young woman that I am today but he still sees me as his little girl with a bouncy ponytail running from the school bus to show him my latest artwork. Twenty sets of parents and six other families were robbed of this excitement because of the tragic events that happened this past Friday.
I hope with prayer, guidance from others and this poem will guide these families to search the stars and find their little angels and know they are safe. The Forever Bride family gives condolences to all the families impacted and hopefully this poem will give them some light during these dark times.
I know it has for me. I love you dad.

Vikings Quarterback Christian Ponder married his girlfriend, ESPN College Football reporter Samantha Steele, this past weekend in Wisconsin! The Star Tribune reported that Ponder and Steele married in Wisconsin to limit the attention on them.
TOO LATE!!

The news went viral on Wednesday and there is a buzz about why they rushed into their recent nuptials. Ponder explained to the Star Tribune that it was important to be married before the holidays and to have a quick and easy ceremony without any distraction of friends and family.
Hmm...there is still speculation as to the quickness of the marriage but further news has yet to be released. Whatever the case, we are happy for him and his new wife Samantha! Congratualtions you two!
Stay tuned for more information as I plan to research and find out!

Minneapolis – Minnesota-based Company ForeverTV.com announces the decision of rebranding to ForeverBride.com.
After many months of planning and hard work, the switch to ForeverBride.com will occur on Dec. 14. The company believes the ForeverBride.com brand is stronger than its predecessor and will bring more strength to what ForeverTV.com offered in the wedding marketplace.
Since 2010, ForeverTV.com built a strong brand in the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota area through serving brides with educational and entertaining video-based content while providing wedding professionals an unmatched connection to brides through the Very Important Bride (VIB) card and program.
The Very Important Bride (VIB) card is the world’s first and only programs that aid in the relationship development between wedding professionals and brides. The new brand of ForeverBride.com along with this program will continually strengthen the company’s identity and national expansion.
ForeverTV.com will remain as the video based platform of ForeverBride.com. The company’s YouTube Channel receives over 9,000 video views per month. The plan is to build on that momentum.
Changes during the rebranding will be gradual starting with the change from the current logo to the Forever Bride Logo. The company will also be changing the internal content to reflect the new name with the anticipation that this change will be obvious in traffic, brand recognition and returning brides.
For more information about ForeverBride.com, including access to the media kit, is available by contacting Director of Content, Kaitlin Keller at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
Move over ivory and white, 2013 has a new trend for wedding dresses this year and they are coming up in a whole new shade from the color spectrum! That’s right. Colored wedding dresses are a new trend for 2013 blushing bride or maybe it is a bride in blush.
Colored wedding dresses aren’t a new phenomenon. In fact, wedding dresses in Victorian England were a pale blue to represent fertility of the couple! I’m uncertain when the shift to white, ivory and cream came about but from recent celebrity weddings to the 2013 spring fashion lines, it seems there is a shift back.
The colors this year focus around pinks, reds and blues. Famous designer, Oscar de la Renta, offers reds and “something blue” gowns while Vera Wang offers an ALL red collection for 2013.
Last fall, actresses Anne Hathaway and Jessica Biel walked down the aisle in stunning pink designer gowns from Giambattista Valli (Biel) and Valentino (Hathaway).
I am very excited to see what 2013 has to offer!
Jessica Biel
