The wedding cake represents the theme of your wedding. It has an emblematic feel of the bride and groom's personality, tastes and design of the wedding! Forever Bride sits down with Queen of Cakes to talking ALL about cakes. The biggest desire for the wedding cake designers is to make a cake unique for the bride and groom!
The bride and groom may come in with different visions but a caker's (cake baker's) favorite part is to sit down with them and find a way to make it the best of BOTH worlds!
Go ahead! Design your cake and eat it too!
Did you know that wedding cake was not originally eaten by the bride but actually thrown at her? It's true!!
In medieval times, the cake was broken over the brides head or thrown at her to ensure fertility and bring good fortune to the couple.
The wedding cake is surrounded by even stranger supersititions!
HERE is the part of the planning your groom will love and be willing to participate in. Yes, I know you probably had to drag your husband-to-be along to the florist, reception sites, and craft stores, but trust me, he will want to come to this appointment. IT’S CAKE TASTING TIME!
Get your palate ready and bring your appetite because you won't want to leave a morsel on your plate after you visit Buttercream in Minnetonka. With about a dozen flavors to choose from, even the pickiest of brides (ahem, yours truly) will find something to fall in love with. Shockingly, my fiancé had been "picturing what his wedding cake would look like" and quickly decided on a 4-tiered round stunner embellished with purple accents, spaced with fresh flowers and topped with your traditional bride and groom figures.
Oh, the flavors? Don't you worry, we chose a traditional vanilla layered with fresh raspberry and the one flavor that never fails to derail our healthy eating, carrot cake. Not your favorite? The choices are endless and range from German chocolate and chocolate lovers, to red velvet and strawberry!
Our cake has the design of the first picture with flowers integrated like the second picture.
